On October 7, 2009, Brock Holmes was picked up at his residence 28109
Old Owen Rd, Monroe by Gary Wheelock, Clint Wheelock, Cameron Johnson,
and possibly Clint’s off and on girlfriend Delmise. They left Brock’s
home around 4:30-5:00PM. The CrimeStopper Posters have it WRONG! Brock
was wearing a long sleeve dark blue shirt with white stripes down the
sleeves, cargo style blue jeans and brown shoes. He had his ipod, cell
phone, and $150.00 on him.
The group went to Bubbas road house and eventually was kicked out due to Brock putting Clint in a head lock, Cameron said it was a playful headlock, but the bartenders didn’t believe that. They went over to the Dutch Cup restaurant and proceeded to play pool in the bar. A woman stated that she saw Brock attempting to calm the group down so they didn’t get kicked out again. They group supposedly left the bar at approximately 12pm and went to the Wheelock residence, 24702 or 24703 Florence Acres Rd., Monroe. According to the mother (Madge Wheelock) the boys were drinking whiskey straight from the bottle like water. She said that Clint and Delmise were passed out and Gary was going to bed. She said that Brock wanted to go home and she told him that she would get dressed and take him home and he supposedly said to her that he had a friend coming to pick him up. The family first stated that they saw Brock get into a vehicle at the end of the driveway and then the story changed to he left on foot. It is known that you cannot see the driveway from the house.
The Wheelock family along with Cameron Johnson are refusing to take polygraphs. There have been many searches that have taken place of the Florence Acres Rd and Old Owen Road. We have gone to Mann Road, and down by the Sultan River.
There was a group of us that were searching the Rudolf Reese Park near Sultan on a Sunday and while we were there searching, Gary Wheelock Jr. drove radically into the park and approached me and asked what we were doing there, I explained we were searching for Brock and I asked him how he knew we were there and he stuttered and said he didn’t, he was going to meet a friend. He proceeded to drive around the bend and when he came back around he was on his cell phone and left the park, then drove up and down the hill by the main entrance of the park 3 to 4 times. We did not want to leave the park that night.
A search took place by the employees of the Chevron, where Brock worked, and volunteers, they searched Florence Acres again and eventually made it onto the Wheelock property. There were many bones found that were under piles of ash and more were found down an embankment off the driveway. The stench was horrible and there were maggots present. 911 was called and they arrived and tried to play the bones off as turkey bones. According to the searchers, the bones were too large to be turkey bones. The Sheriff’s Deputy’s stated they would take some in for analysis but according to the searchers they never did.
I have attempted to get the Detective that is handling this case to get the dogs out to a couple of areas and she asked me where I heard the information and then proceeded to tell me that she had never heard of anybody dumping bodies in that area. At this time nothing is being done, I have been told that all they can do is sit back and wait for someone to talk. It took the Sheriff’s Dept. almost 4 weeks to get the Crime Stopper posters to me. The Detective (Kelly Whilloth) did not believe me when I told her the first time that something was wrong, Brock would not do this. She didn’t believe it until 3-4 weeks had passed, she thought he might be out partying and had taken off, they put it off because he is a 23 year old male that was out with so called friends. They wasted valuable time to find Brock. I do not believe that Brock ever made it back to the Wheelock house that night. I believe an altercation occurred at the bar and the Wheelock boys and whoever else was present took Brock’s life and dumped him somewhere like a bag of garbage. Brock only knew these boys for approximately 3 weeks.
According to people in the community, the Wheelock boys are drug dealers, enjoy shooting guns and have many weapons in their residence (according to Brock himself), Clint is a MMA fighter.
